Lake Michigan Dance Company is a pre-professional company for students ages 7 and up who love to perform! It is a great opportunity to perform throughout our community and to dive into new
​styles of dance.

Dancers are chosen through an audition process that involves
​ballet technique, jazz combinations, and improvisation.

Field Trips
Company dancers have many additional opportunities to perform throughout the community and beyond. 
Dancers explore a variety of styles including Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Musical Theater.
The Company travels to attend professional dance performances and a dance convention to educate, inspire, and take class with world-renowned teachers.
  • Admitted by Audition: Ages 13+
  • Technique Requirements: Two ballet classes, one jazz class, one elective class
  • Rehearsals: Company rehearsals Tuesday evenings, seasonal Saturday rehearsals
  • ​Performances: 6-8 per year: Winter Showcase, Spring Recital, annual dance convention/competition, local competition, Company Showcase, community performances, guest performance opportunities  
  • Company Summer Intensive: August 1-4, 2022, 10:00am-2:00pm (schedule to follow)
  • One full year commitment August - June
  • Admitted by Audition: Ages 10+
  • Technique Requirements: One ballet class, one jazz class, one elective
  • Rehearsals: Company rehearsals Tuesday evenings, occasional Saturday rehearsals
  • ​Performances: 5-7 per year: ​Winter Showcase, Spring Recital, optional dance convention,  local competition, Company Showcase, community performances
  • Company Summer Intensive: August 1-4, 2022, 10:00am-2:00pm (schedule to follow)
  • One full year commitment August - June
  • Admitted by Audition: Ages 7+
  • Technique Requirements: One ballet class, one jazz class
  • Rehearsals: Company rehearsals Tuesday evenings, rare Saturday rehearsals
  • ​Performances: 4-5 per year: Winter Showcase, Spring Recital, optional dance convention, Company Showcase, community performances 
  • Company Summer Intensive: August 1-4, 2022, 10:00am-2:00pm (schedule to follow)
  • One full year commitment August - June
