Auditions for 2025/2026 season are complete
Next year's audition dates will be released in Spring 2026!

Audition will include some ballet combinations, jazz combinations, and improvisation!
Dancers do not need to prepare anything for the audition, but we do require at least one year of
ballet or jazz class prior to auditioning for LMDC.

Lake Michigan Dance Company is a pre-professional company for students ages 7 and up who love to perform! It is a great opportunity to perform throughout our community and to dive into new
styles of dance.

Dancers are chosen through an audition process that involves
ballet technique, jazz combinations, and improvisation.

Company dancers have many additional opportunities to perform throughout the community and beyond.

Dancers explore a variety of styles including Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Musical Theater.

The Company travels to attend professional dance performances and a dance convention to educate, inspire, and take class with world-renowned teachers.

Admitted by Audition - Ages 10+
Technique Requirements - One ballet class, one jazz class, one elective
Rehearsals - Company rehearsals Tuesday evenings
Performances - 5-7 per year: Winter Showcase, Spring Recital, optional dance convention, local competition, Company Showcase, community performances
Company Summer Intensive - early August (Mon-Thurs, approx. 10:00-2:00)
One full year commitment August - June

Admitted by Audition - Ages 7+
