Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find class prices?
Class prices can be found by clicking Here.
How do I register my child?
Parents can register their children via online registration software by clicking Here. We are happy to assist with this process over the phone. In addition, we can provide a hardcopy form if parents prefer this method. Parents are asked to email or drop off the form at the studio.
How do I know what level to sign my child up for?
If you need help deciding on what level to place your child in, please let us help you! With the exception of Creative Beginner classes, student leveling is based on a combination of age and ability. Since the leveling structure varies from studio to studio, prior studio leveling may not correlate to the most appropriate level for the student at Lake Michigan Dance Academy. The class instructor, along with Alissa, reserves the right to move students into a different class, if deemed appropriate. Please note that level changes are always in the best interest of the class and student, and are made in order to provide the most effective instruction possible.
What do I do if a class is full?
Registration for classes will be on a first-come first-served basis. If you want to register for a class, but it is already full, we will put your name on a waitlist. If a space becomes available before the end of the session, you will have the option of enrolling.
What if I register late?
If you enroll after a session has already begun, your tuition payment will be pro-rated.
When is the registration fee due?
The registration fee is due at the time of registration.
When is tuition due?
Monthly tuition is due in full at the time of registration. Accounts with an unpaid balance after the first week of each month will be charged a $20 late fee. Students will not be able to participate in class if a balance remains after the first week of classes.

What happens if my child misses a class?
Please let us know if your child will be absent from class. If your child misses a class, they may attend another class of the same level or lower to make up for the one they missed. Make-up classes do not roll over to the next quarter, so the make-up class must be in the same nine-week session as the original class missed (preferably in the same week as the one missed). We ask that you call the office to schedule your make-up class. Please note that you will not be refunded for missed classes.
