Adult Yoga
Class Description
A one-hour, all-levels adult yoga class that combines dynamic movement with gentle stretching. Each session focuses on techniques and movements to help everyone deepen their practice. Class will end with gentle stretching and poses that help students wind down at the end of the evening. Class is designed for all levels of yoga student. Teacher Bio Leigh Moerdyke, RYT 500, has been a student of yoga for around 18 years and a teacher for 10 years. She completed both her 200 and 300 hour RYT Teacher training with Melanie McQouwn at Peace Lab Yoga Shala. Leigh specializes in teaching based peak pose classes with an emphasis on accessibility in the practice. She enjoys introducing people to yoga and helping those who are starting their practice. Her goal in teaching is to help everyone feel capable and empowered when they leave class. What to Wear/Bring Comfortable athletic clothes that are good for stretching, inverting, and flowing through class. You may bring a water bottle and/or yoga mat from home, but we do have a few mats to share. |
Adult Tap
Class Description
Adult tap is an inclusive and energized class that teaches basic leveled tap steps as well as musicality. This is the time and space to meet ladies of all ages, learn or enhance tap technique, and have fun! Every so often, we will have themed classes where we can add an extra fun element to what we wear, too. We are doing an 80's themed week, where we listen to all 80's music and wear some bright colors! Participants should bring a water bottle to class and expect to get their sweat on! What to Wear/Bring Wear whatever you feel comfortable in, including leggings, joggers, t-shirts, and athletic wear that you can move around in. |
Adult Barre Fusion
Ballet Barre Fusion is a low-impact, full-body workout that combines ballet, Pilates, yoga, and strength training. No dance experience required!
What to Expect Small movements - class will focus on small, precise movements with high repetitions Isometric exercises - involves holding muscles in contraction, which can cause them to shake as they fatigue Emphasis on form - class emphasizes form, alignment, and core engagement Music - class features upbeat music Benefits Strength and Flexibility - build strength and flexibility in your core, glutes, hips, legs, and arms. Posture - help improve your posture. Muscular endurance - improve your muscular endurance by repeatedly contracting your muscles against resistance. What to Wear/Bring Comfortable, athletic clothing should be worn, grippy socks (or no socks), water bottle, yoga mat for comfort while working on the floor. |
